Auto-ducking lowers the music gain whenever dialogue is detected on the primary audio track and restores it during silent sections. EditLint AI implements ducking using gain keyframes written directly onto the music track in your NLE — the same technique a mixer would use manually, just automated.
The duck level is the gain the music drops to during dialogue (default –30 dB). The attack time is how quickly it ramps down when speech starts (default 300ms — fast enough to clear space before the first word lands). The release time is how quickly it ramps back up after speech ends (default 500ms — slow enough to feel natural).
Point EditLint AI at a folder containing your licensed music tracks. Tracks are matched to the selected mood using filename keywords and any mood tags in the file metadata. Tracks tagged corporate, calm or upbeat in their ID3 tags or filenames will be indexed correctly.

The best-matching track from your music library for the selected mood is placed on a dedicated audio track at the start of the sequence. If the track is shorter than the sequence, it is looped with a short crossfade. If it's longer, it is trimmed and faded out at the sequence end.
