How It Works

Three steps. Zero scrubbing.

EditLint AI does the tedious work. You make the creative decisions..

1

Analyse Audio

EditLint AI reads the waveform of every audio track in your sequence, measuring RMS levels against your configured noise floor. Processing happens entirely on-device. No upload, no waiting on a server..

2

Review Silences

Every detected gap is listed with its timestamp, duration and an AI confidence score. You can expand each item, preview the surrounding audio and tick or untick individual silences before applying anything.

3

Apply in One Click

Hit Apply and EditLint AI makes all the cuts in your NLE simultaneously. Your original sequence is duplicated first, so you can restore everything with a single click if you change your mind.

Configure to your editing style

No two editors or formats are the same. A talking-head YouTube video needs tighter pacing than a documentary interview. EditLint AI's silence detection adapts to your project with a handful of simple controls.

Set your noise floor to match the background hiss of your recording environment. Dial in the minimum silence duration so breathing room is preserved but dead air is caught. Toggle filler word detection on or off and add your own terms to the list.

  • Noise floor slider (–60 dB to –20 dB)
  • Minimum silence duration (0.3s – 5.0s)
  • Per-track or combined-mix analysis
  • Filler word list: "um", "uh", "like", "you know" — fully editable
  • Padding control: keep a few frames of audio before and after each cut
um uh like you know sort of basically + custom

Your original is always one click away

Before EditLint AI makes a single cut, it duplicates your sequence. The copy gets the cleaned edit; your original stays exactly as you left it. There's no undo limit to worry about. The original sequence exists as a named copy in your project panel.

If a client wants to restore a section, or you decide the pacing felt better with a particular pause left in, you haven't lost a thing. It's the same workflow professional editors have always used — EditLint just automates the tedious part.

  • Sequence duplicated automatically before any cuts are applied
  • Original labelled "(Original)" in your project panel
  • Restore any individual cut using the EditLint cuts list
  • No source media is ever modified
