Viral short-form content shares a structural pattern: a strong hook that answers "why should I keep watching?" within the first two seconds. EditLint AI analyses your transcript sentence by sentence and assigns a retention score using a set of weighted signals.

Questions pull viewers in because they create an open loop the brain wants closed. Numbers add specificity and credibility. Surprise or contrast phrases signal new information. Curiosity gaps such as "here's what most people miss" are among the most reliable hooks in the platform data.

Intelligent Selection

No two shorts share the same moment

Overlap is the hidden quality problem in automated short-form creation. If two clips cover the same 10-second segment, you've essentially published the same content twice, and algorithmic platforms penalise that.

EditLint AI's selection algorithm explicitly enforces non-overlap. Once a segment is claimed by Short 1, it can't be used by Short 2 or Short 3. The algorithm continues scanning for the next highest-scoring non-overlapping window until all three shorts are filled.
