After analysis, one click places colour-coded markers at every issue. High severity in red, medium in amber, low in cyan. All prefixed [EditLint] so they never conflict with your own markers.
The colour system is designed to be immediately legible on your timeline without needing to read every marker comment. Red stands out. Amber catches your eye. Cyan tells you to review.
Issues that will be immediately noticeable to the viewer and are very likely to result in client complaints or rejection. Examples: audio clipping, blown highlights, completely out-of-focus shots, face turned 90 degrees away from camera. These must be fixed before delivery.
Issues that are noticeably below professional quality and should be addressed before delivery. Examples: significant shake, poor SNR, considerable headroom, exposure 20%+ outside broadcast safe. May be acceptable in some contexts but should be reviewed with context in mind before deciding to leave in.
Issues that are subtle and may or may not need addressing depending on project requirements. Examples: light shake, slight exposure deviation, minor framing drift. Worth reviewing in context before deciding to ignore them — they can accumulate in a full-length cut.
Informational markers that flag something worth knowing but unlikely to affect viewer experience. Examples: face briefly out of frame during a silent section, very slight noise floor rise, borderline headroom in an otherwise good shot. Review at your own discretion.
All markers placed by EditLint AI are prefixed with [EditLint] in the marker name. This distinguishes them from your own production markers and makes them easy to find, filter and remove.
Removing all EditLint markers is a single click — no need to manually delete each one. If you re-run an analysis after making fixes, the old markers are cleared before new ones are placed so you never see stale results.
Run any EditLint analysis — whether Analyze Clip, Analyze Full Sequence, Quality Control or any individual detector. Every analysis produces an issue list internally regardless of whether you place markers or not.
From the EditLint panel, click the Add Markers button. You can choose to add all markers, only markers above a severity threshold, or markers for specific detector categories. The batch marker placement runs in under 1 second regardless of how many issues were found.
Use your NLE's native marker panel to jump between markers by pressing M or using the marker navigation arrows. Click any marker to read the comment. Fix the issue, then re-run the relevant detector to clear the stale marker and place an updated one if the problem was only partially resolved.
